关于美国人的谦逊（Humble ）
近来与一位并不信教但经常去教堂的美国朋友聊天时，很小心翼翼的，影射的问他为什么经常去教堂，有时还带孩子去？他的回答让我大吃一惊：“我是为了让我的孩子学会谦逊，同时也提醒自己要时刻谦逊，因为从教义上讲我们都是上帝的孩子，孩子要对父母谦逊所以在上帝面前，人人都要谦逊。虽然我不信教，但在金碧辉煌的教堂和神圣的上帝面前，我和我的孩子也随着大家一起低下了头，这样的氛围有利于培养孩子变得谦逊。”事实上在我与美国人交往的过程当中，绝大多数美国人还是很谦逊的，我想这可能是因为他们从小在父母和教会的影响下，渐渐的养成这样的美德，从而从中体会到了谦逊给他们带来的好处，这可正印证了中国古话：谦受益……
随笔写了以上这段，是想告诉自己和各位家长,要从小培养自己的孩子学会谦逊，这样会让自己的孩子受益一辈子，让他的一生总用愿意帮助他的人在他的身边，我想这可能是每一位家长最愿意看到的。
注：绝无鼓励大家信教和去教堂的意思，只是各位家长自己考虑如何培养孩子变得谦逊，可能最好的办法是自己先变得谦逊起来……
